Hillcrest Park Pine Forest Stairs – Cleaning and maintenance
Date & Time:
Saturday, May 4, 2019
8:00 AM - 2:00 PM
20 have signed up & 0 openings remain.
We will be joining the city of Fullerton parks and recreation department to spruce up some of our parks in Fullerton.
This is a great opportunity to do some spruce up work at Hillcrest Parks Pine Forest stairs, a very popular workout location in the city. Volunteers will:
· Inspect and tighten all steel cable side guardrails
· Sweep and general clean-up of debris all stair treads and landings.
· This project requires no particular skill (but some familiarity with hand tools would be helpful). However, as this project requires going up and down the stairs, it would require an average to good level of fitness. Would not recommend this project for children, or those who might have medical and/or fitness challenges
Volunteers will need work gloves, hats, sun screen, lightweight brooms, and the city will provide the necessary wrenches to tighten the cables.
